Skip Ewing
Skip Ewing is a longtime friend of LR Baggs and one of Nashville’s most successful singer/songwriters. Having written seven #1 singles and fifteen Billboard charted hits, one would think that Skip Ewing would be a household name. But much like Chris Stapleton, primarily a songwriter who wasn’t well known until he broke out with his own material recently, Skip also avoided the limelight. Seeking personal renewal ten years ago, Skip sold everything in Nashville but a few guitars, packed up his car and headed west to the mountains of Wyoming where he earned a living as a horse trainer.
A few years ago, Skip was inspired to start writing again, this time about the rich history of his beloved Wyoming. This effort has culminated in the release of his own beautiful and critically acclaimed new album Wyoming and Skip has, to all of our benefits, fully returned to music.
Six months ago, Skip reached out to me just to say “Hi, I’m back, I have a new album and what’s up?” Intrigued by our new Voiceprint DI, Skip offered to become our very first outside beta tester. Thrilled with the results, Skip offered to record this video, via Zoom, from his mountain cabin, to convey his experiences with the product AND to treat us to some great music.
